As a result of treatment the preventive denistry also restores the former condition of teeth aiming to bringing them close to the ideal as healthy and vital teeth. In our Institute we treat caries as well as reconstruct substantially destroyed teeth crowns using the latest generation of materials i.e. composites and components which besides their durability and esthetic look are also capable of constantly releasing fluorine.

Implants
A dental implant is simply a screw made of titanium, which replaces the root of a missing tooth. On top of a implant, the dentist makes a prosthetic crown after a period of osseo-integration (healing), which lasts approximately 5 months for the upper jaw or 2,5 months for the lower jaw.
In case of the loss of a toof, there is no longer any need to grind down healthy teeth, thanks to the implant dentistry. It is enough simply to introduce and implant and, after a period of osseo-integration, make a crown on top of it. Similarly, when many teeth are missing or in the case of a complete lack of teeth, thanks to implants it is no longer essential to use removable dentures. An adequate number of implants allow the dentist to create a bridge (with a greater number of implants), or an over-denture type of prosthesis (with fewer implants). The latter looks like a prosthesis made of acrylic; however, thanks to the implants that are connected, this prosthesis is smaller, better balanced and easy to maintain.
Implants have been is use over 40 years. Modern implant dentistry allows treatment using dental implants in ceses that earlier were not even considered for this type of treatment. Experience has demonstrated that, with the right diagnosis and with high standards of equipment, implants are totally harmless for patients.
In the Vita Medical Dental Institute in Krakow, the equipment used for implants are of the highest quality, similar to equipment used in the best clinics of Paris. The system of IDI implants is the only fully harmless, patented system, offering patients entirely safe treatment as well as shortening the time of treatment. This system of implants is under constant clinical supervision of the AIIO Insitute in Paris. Besides standard implants, beauty implants of the
IDMax type enjoy greater popularity. They have, in addition, a golden titanium neck hidden under the gum, provigind an excellent aesthetic effect. Implants in Vital Medical in Krakow are made under the direction of Dr Peter Kaczmarek. Although hard to believe, implants really are pain-free. If someone fears pain, it is possible, on request, to execute an implant under full anaesthesia, taking the form of analgosedation, executed by a team of anaesthesiologists.
Cosmetic veneers Hollywood smile
You can enjoy a dazzling Hollywood smile, too. With the help of a Vita Medical cosmetic dentist and porcelain veneers. Have you ever gazed enviously at the perfect smiles you've seen on TV, in movies, in magazines . . . the perfect smiles of Hollywood actresses, models and movie stars? Have you wondered to yourself, "How did she get that smile? It's so white . . . so straight .. . so, well, perfect!" Chances are, these stunning beauties weren't born with amazing smiles. No. Chances are that talented cosmetic dentists designed their smiles just for them. The good news? You can enjoy a dazzling Hollywood smile, too. With the help of a cosmetic dentist at Vita Medical Dental Institute in Krakow and porcelain veneers.
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of fired porcelain that are placed on the front surfaces of the teeth. Offering a natural look and feel, veneers allow the cosmetic dentist to dramatically change the length, width, color and shape of a tooth. They are the cosmetic dentist's greatest tool for enhancing a smile.
Versatile and strong, porcelain veneers are used for a variety of smile enhancements, from complete smile makeovers to repairing a chipped tooth. Restoring teeth to their natural beauty, veneers also resist staining, creating an enduring white, bright straight smile.
Simple Steps to a Stunning Smile
Have your smile transformed with porcelain veneers is an easy, comfortable and quick procedure.
First, you and your Vita Medical cosmetic dentist will discuss your goals and expectations of your new smile. What do you want your smile to look like? What don't you like about your smile that you want changed ? Together, you will determine the "style" of your new smile.
Once you have decided on your smile, the dentist will take a mold of your teeth. He will send that mold to a dental lab with precise instructions of the dimensions, proportions, and directions for creating your smile.
Once the mold is approved, our dentist will prepare your teeth for the smile makeover. To ensure your new porcelain teeth will fit perfectly, your existing teeth will be reshaped. Once that is complete, your dentist will fit you with temporaries (a temporary version of the "new smile".)
When the porcelain veneers are ready, our dentist will remove your temporaries, and bond the veneers to your teeth.
That's all it takes. Most times, a smile can be completely transformed in only two to three visits.
BT COOL incredibly white teeth in 15 minutes
Teeth whitening by means of the most advanced BT COOL system
We would like to inform you about our new offer - rapid and safe teeth whitening by means of the BT Cool system. In 15-30 minutes we can completely change your smile. The treatment is painless and rapid.
Is this method safe?
This technology has been thoroughly examined and is absolutely painless and rapid. In comparison with teeth whitening by means of laser, halogen or plasma light, patients do no experience any pain. However, a small number
of patients may feel some discomfort when the whitening gel is applied. Pregnant women or patients suffering from gum diseases should consult their dentists to check whether the treatment is possible for them.
Are there any contraindications?
BT Cool is able to achieve excellent whitening effect for everyone, in particular for the patients with severe coffee, tea and tobacco stains. BT Cool is efficient even in case of tetracycline or medicine stained teeth. If you have dark teeth from birth, BT Cool will also work!
What effects can I expect?
Clinical studies have shown that on average your teeth can be 8 shades whiter after the treatment. However, bearing in mind that we have different teeth, also the whitening effects must differ. The best way to check the result is to conduct a control test before and after the whitening specifying the shade of teeth. The change of colour is clearly visible just after the treatment.
How long will I have perfectly white teeth?
Teeth whitening is an irreversible process and lasts till the end of your life, although smoking and drinking black coffee work against the results because the layers of other dyes stay on the teeth.
The results achieved by means of LED light irradiation are better than in case of other whitening treatments. Smoking and drinking black coffee can decrease the whitening effect. However, proper dental care can ensure the excellent effect forever.
How can I maintain the whitening effect?
In order to maintain perfectly white teeth it is recommended to give up or reduce smoking and drink coffee with milk instead of black coffee, have regular dental checkups, stain removal and scaling, as well as use of a whitening toothpaste.
What effect does it have on crowns, dentures and veneers? Generally whitening is not efficient in case of crowns, dentures and veneers.
Laser Therapy
Lasers in dentistry are used as an anti-inflammatory agent and painkiller. Dental clinics use low and medium level therapeutic lasers.
Biostimulative laser is used in dentistry mainly for non-invasive treatment of oral mucosa diseases, anesthesia and bleeding suppression. Owing to its sterilization function, it relieves pain, reduces inflammation and oedema. It efficiently activates cell regeneration. The advantage of using biostimulative laser before the commencement of the cavity treatment is the fact that it considerably reduces pain during and after the treatment and improves its therapeutic effects, lowers the risk of infection and accelerates the regeneration of the damaged tissues.
Recommendations for the use of the biostimulative laser therapy:
- inflammatory processes of dental pulp, maxillary sinus and tooth socket after tooth extraction
- neuralgia
- gum diseases, periodontal disease and oral mucosa
- stomatomycosis
- facial neuralgia
- maxillary joint pains
- oral herpes, aphthae
- postoperative pain and oedema
- suppressing hypersensitivity of uncovered dentin
- sialadenitis, lockjaw treatment
- healing of tooth socket after extraction
- pain and oedema following maxilla fractures
- healing acceleration after conventional oral surgery, e.g. frenectomy, resection, guided bone regeneration, after transplants and implants.
Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment can imporve your dental health and change your facial appearance for the better, and it can boost your self-esteem. It can provide you with the chance to participate in improving the way you look. Patients often feel more self-confident even before treatment is completed.
Orthodontics is concerned with correction and treatment of malocclusion. Malocclusion is an improper fit and alignment of the teeth and jaws. In most simplistic terms is “bad bite”.
Romovable braces are the most effective during the period of intensive growth of children and youth and young adults. The retainer is placed in the mouth of the patient and can be removed at wil. The period of treatment largely depends on the type of malocclusion, the age of the patient and the number of hours the patient spends with his braces on. Ideally, in order to obtain the best results braces should be worn from 6 to 10 hours daily and laso during night.
Fixed braces include different types of metal, plastic or ceramic locks, which are attached to the face surface of the patient’s teeth (cemented and / or bonded to the teeth). They stay there for the duration of the treatment applying a weak yet steady force on the teeth so the effects of treatment can be observed quickly. The locks vary is size as well as their aesthetic appearance. Ceramic locks are the same color as teeth and are hardly visible.
Patients with braces must be careful to avoid hard and sticky foods. They must not chew on pens, pencils or fingernails becaise chewing on hard things can damage the braces. Damaged braces wil almost always cause treatment to take longer, and will require extra trips to the orthodontist.
The value of an attractive smile should not be underestimated. A pleasing appearance is a vital asset to one’s self-confidence. A person’s self-esteem often improves as treatment bring teeth, lips and face into proportion. In this way, orthodontic treatment can benefit social and career success, as well as improve one’s general attitude toward life.
Anesthesia
Medical technology nowadays allows for both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to be painless and without causing any stress or anxiety for the patient. This is especially true during injection of the anesthetic that may cause an unpleasant sensation of stretched tissue, numbness and other strange feelings on the face. However these uncomfortable effects can be prevented simply by applying first the anesthetic onto the surface of the oral mucosa before the shot itself and later administering anesthesia onto the surrounding tissues while maintaining constant pressure. Assuring continuous pressure and speed is diffucult, so we benefit from the advantages of “The Wand system” for local anesthesia that precisely administers the anesthetic thus eliminating the unpleasant feeling connected with receiving an injection.
In our Institute we also use all other methods of fighting pain such as:
- infiltration anesthesia
- block anesthesia
- Injex needleless injection system
- General anesthesia.
